Sociology: the study of human Social relationships and the inner workings of human society

As a Sociology major, I have spent a great deal of time learning about some of the various sub-groups that make up the greater social fabric of modern society. Of these sub-groups, I have felt most transformed by the sociology theory surrounding the United States justice system. Within this scope of study, I have learned about the reality of wrongful convictions, the truth behind the behavior of law, and the social implications of the death penalty. These areas of study introduced me to a world that was once unbenounced to me. These teachings have left me tears, ignited an anger, and above all else, inspired me to push towards a more just society in the future. Scattered throughout my writing minor portfolio I have included bits and pieces of my writing from this focus. Here I have included some other analytical pieces to provide a greater context to this area of study.
