Deconstruction
Reflection

Sometimes as writers, it is easy to begin drafting a piece on autopilot. In this way, sometimes even the writer is unaware of the nuanced decisions that go into all the components of a piece. In the is Deconstruction piece, I outline all of the decisions that I made when drafting my piece: The Wallflowers Beyond the Red Door. This format allows the reader to get a better idea of the thought that I put into both the small details and big picture of this piece. In drafting this Deconstruction, I even saw aspects of my own piece in a new light. Deconstruction removed the autopilot aspect from the piece and introduced me to the impactful writing choices I made in this piece.

It is important for writers to spend time reflecting on the work they have created. Understanding how their works display their past knowledge and lead to further growth as a writer is an important aspect that separates true writers from people who write. Outlined in this reflection piece, I discuss the context of my piece on the Wrongful Conviction of Timothy Masters. This Reflection allows the reader to have an inside look at the context that this piece was written in and gives the reader a more complete picture of my understanding of this piece.
