Mackenzie Langley ~ a writer constantly in progress

I am currently a third year student at the University of Denver studying Sociology with minors in writing and entrepreneurship. I was Born and raised in Aspen, Colorado. My upbringing in a small town has led me to have a great appreciation for the support that comes from living in a close-knit community. I am an avid volunteer with non-profit organizations as I enjoy contributing to the communities that I am a part of now that I have moved away from Aspen.

Although I enjoyed writing in high school, it wasn't until I began college that I realized it was an area of study that I would choose as a minor. My writing classes have challenged me to work beyond the classical academic analytical framework. This minor has allowed me to acquire my own unique writers voice that I have applied to both course assignments and work beyond the classroom. 

 

After graduating from the University of Denver in the Spring of 2020, I hope to pursue a career with a non-profit organization. I believe my degree with focuses in sociology, writing, and entrepreneurship will provide me with the diverse skills necessary to assist non-profit growth in a time of continual change.
